BENEFITS

of Coconut Oil

1. PROVIDES MOISTURE

Coconut oil is rich in medium-chain fatty acids that can help your skin retain more moisture over time. It has anti-aging, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Coconut oil helps restore dry, flaking skin by strengthening skin tissue and facilitating the elimination of dead skin cells while penetrating deeply into the skin. Coconut oil contains several fatty acids such as capric acid, lauric acid and caprylic acid. Each of these plays a role in killing harmful pathogens such as candida, a common cause of skin infections.

2. HELPS SUPPRESS WRINKLES

Coconut oil helps to delay the occurrence of wrinkles because it contains vitamin E, which is an antioxidant known to protect skin cells from damage caused by free radicals. The vitamin E found in coconut oil contributes to soothing irritated skin caused by common skin conditions such as eczema, sunburn and psoriasis, and its benefits may even extend to helping in the treatment of bug bites.

3. EXFOLIATES & CLEANSES

Coconut oil can be used to exfoliate and cleanse skin. The acids in coconut oil provide chemical exfoliation, helping to slough off dead skin cells and reveal the brighter, smoother skin underneath.

4. FORMS A PROTECTIVE BARRIER

Thanks to its antibacterial properties and thick texture, coconut oil is great for layering over other products. Apply a thin layer as a protective “seal” over serums, moisturizers, and other skincare products, which will help them work more effectively while keeping bacteria at bay.

BENEFITS

of Beeswax

Beeswax (cera alba) is a natural wax produced by honey bees of the

genus apis. Its various uses date back to prehistory and still today is considered essential in many applications across many industries; including the field of beauty, where beeswax appears regularly as an ingredient in cosmetics due to it's emollient properties which soften and soothe the skin. The beeswax in our products is 100% organic to ensure maximum health benefits from its wide range of natural properties.

1. PROTECTING

Relative to the skin, it stimulates the immune system and strengthens the protection power of the body. When used topically, it forms a barrier that protects the skin from harmful environmental toxins, weather, and bacteria. This barrier also helps to keep water both in and out of the skin, which is essential for skincare.

2. HUMECTANT

Hydrates and seals in moisture in the skin. Ancient Egyptians have used beeswax to embalm their pharaohs because it was essential to the preservation process.

3. ANALGESIC

Beeswax calms pain while promoting the healing of wounds and bruises while fighting infection. It has also been known to speed up healing of second-degree burns, decrease itching of the skin, and help with symptoms of dermatitis, psoriasis, and overgrowth of normal skin flora.

4. CLEANSING

It detoxifies cells. Beeswax possesses antibacterial and antiviral properties that facilitate skin purification by helping to keep it clear and bacteria free. The protective barrier it creates keeps out new toxins while still allowing the skin to breathe.

5. ANTI-AGING

Beeswax is known for it's Vitamin A (also known as retinol) content, which penetrates the skin and stimulates collagen production. Higher collagen production is essential in the anti aging process as it plumps the skin, leaving it with fewer wrinkles and fine lines. It also protects from UV damage and stimulates skin cell rejuvenation - two major contributing factors to wrinkle development. Beeswax also allows the skin to breathe, so not only is it beneficial to the anti-aging process, but also poses great benefits for those who are acne prone or have particularly sensitive skin because it doesn't block the pores.

6. COLLAGEN BOOSTING

The high content of Vitamin A present in beeswax promotes collagen production which helps to prevent and reduce stretch marks by increasing elasticity of the skin, helps skin regenerate after damage, and leads to plumper skin with fewer wrinkles and fine lines.
